Three Questions I Will Ask Every Robotics Founder at Disrupt
Before Disrupt, the three questions I planned to ask every robotics founder, starting with what a robot does when the network drops.
Next week I will be at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco, and I already know the three questions I will ask every robotics founder I meet.
What does your robot do when the network drops? A demo can hide this. A farm, a warehouse, or a hospital cannot.
Who guarantees the timing, and to what standard? A model that is right most of the time makes a good demo. A safety loop must meet its deadline every time.
Which part of your stack would you rather not own? The answer shows where the next company gets built.
I ask because I have spent five months looking for the independent layer between the Slow Brain and the Fast Brain. It lets a robot maker pair one vendor’s models with another vendor’s chip and still guarantee timing. These questions tell me more than a deck does.
If you are building in robotics and will be in San Francisco on October 13 to 15, let's meet and discuss, or tell me your answers here.
What would you add?
